What types of elevator balance compensation chains are there?

Elevator balance compensation chains are common and indispensable elevator balance compensation accessories. There are several types of compensation chains available on the market:
-
The first type is the wire rope Elevator Compensation Chain, which is the most primitive type of compensation chain and is only suitable for elevators with a running speed of up to 175 meters per second. This type of balance compensation chain simply involves inserting hemp rope into the iron chain. Due to friction and collision between chains during operation, it tends to produce a lot of noise, and passengers inside the elevator car can feel noticeable vibrations. Most elevator companies have discontinued its use, with the only advantage being its low cost.
-
The second type is the plastic-coated Elevator Balance Compensation Chain. To reduce the noise generated by the wire rope compensation chain during operation and to mitigate the corrosion caused by the environment to the iron chain, a layer of PVC tube is wrapped around the wire rope elevator compensation chain, resulting in the plastic-coated compensation chain. Compared to the wire rope compensation chain, the plastic-coated compensation chain significantly reduces noise during operation and is more aesthetically pleasing. The only drawback is that its flexibility and durability still need improvement.

The last type is the all-plastic elevator balance compensation chain, which can be used for high-speed elevators with a running speed of up to 6 meters per second. It has a cable-like PVC structure, and when used, it ensures smooth and quiet elevator operation, making it popular among many large elevator companies.
